The first Tiyara graduate is now employed! Tiala is working at the National Institute of Information Technology as a Computer Applications Teacher.

After earning a Bachelor’s in Mechatronics, Ragul now earns over five and a half times his annual scholarship, in annual wages! Ragul’s Father was murdered by Ragul’s uncle over ownership of a well. Ragul’s mother raised her son and daughter on her meager salary working as a tailor. Ragul says he wants to make his mother proud, and give her a break. He continues to set himself higher goals, and strives to achieve them.

With a Diploma in Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Tholkappian now makes nine times his annual scholarship, in annual wages. For almost all of his life, his father has been in prison, having been implicated in mob riots. Despite the stigma attached to his circumstances, Tholkappian enjoys the support of good friends, and a mother who has struggled to raise her two sons.
