Tiyara’s leadership is made up of Board members with a combined experience of decades in diverse areas of the non-profit and education sectors. Their areas of expertise in the global context range from the highest levels of leadership, first-hand knowledge of field realities across cultures, communications and media, financial and fundraising management, to name a few.  Supported by dedicated volunteers, the common thread that makes Tiyara is the passion to serve the underserved and to elevate lives through education.

Tiyara’s Chief Executive Officer, Tilly Samuel Sojwal comes to this position after having served in leadership roles in several international non-profits. Her range of work in the global context has included among other sectors, education, leadership development, change management, digital, child and organizational safeguarding and media and communications. She thrives in an environment of identifying needs and connecting them to resources to bring about sustainable change. Bringing together teams with diverse and complementary skills and leveraging their gifts for results and long-lasting impact are among her strengths. She is passionate about traveling to underserved areas of the world, listening to stories of challenges, endurance and hope, and connecting them to caring supporters.
